The streets were alive with colour and music as Vaisakhi came to Gravesend.

On Saturday thousands of people flocked to the town centre to celebrate the Sikh new year.

The celebrations did not disappoint with hundreds of dancers and dozens of floats all taking part in the Nagar Kirtan (procession), which started at Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara in Clarence Place.
