A slip road leading from the M25 near Swanley was closed this afternoon due to a car fire.

The silver Mercedes C-Class was on the roundabout at junction 3, the Swanley Interchange, leading from the anti-clockwise carriageway.

Emergency services were called but it is not yet known whether anyone has been injured.

Highways England warned drivers to expect delays until at least 2.15pm but police confirmed all lanes had reopened by 2pm.

The junction is where the M20 and A20 meet the M25.
