A driving instructor has posted a video of a 4x4 going the wrong way around a roundabout in Gravesend.

The clip, posted to YouTube earlier today, is quickly being viewed by dozens of people.

It was taken by Geoff Watkins, who has been a driving instructor since 2006.

The video, taken from a dash mounted camera, shows the car turning right after coming down Bath Street.

It then foes the wrong way around the roundabout before trying to rejoin traffic coming from the other direction heading onto West Street.

Tweeting a picture this morning, Geoff, who runs Geoff Watkins Driver Training based in Gillingham, said: "Only in Gravesend! This guy nearly caused a huge crash near the town centre this morning."

He told the Messenger: "It happened about 11.30am but this sort of thing doesn't really shock me anymore. I've got a whole page of YouTube videos dedicated to this kind of driving.

"I'm used to seeing things like this on the road, but this one really does beggar belief."
