In just two days a video made by a Gravesend man has been shared nearly 2,000 times and received more than 40,000 likes.

And the film by Yannis Acott is inspiring others to carry out good deeds.

Yannis Acott, from Hillside Avenue, was at London Bridge train station when he spotted a homeless man and decided to give him a hot baguette.

Mr Acott, who is a musician, graphic artist and producer, said: “I just decided to record myself doing it and thought I’d put it on Facebook but it just went crazy and had about 40,000 likes in two days.

“It was freezing and people were all eating hot food so I decided to give the homeless man some hot food.

“My inbox just went crazy after I posted it and everyone has been saying that it’s made them want to do something nice for other people.”

The 22-year-old lost his father John in August last year when he was found hanged in Gravesend Cemetery in Old Road West.

He added: “After about six months after losing my dad and a close family friend, I thought the only way I could cope with the loss was by turning life into a positive.

“As a musician I’m just trying to get my voice out there and with this video it seems that I’ve managed to get out a really positive message about caring for other people and doing some good.”
