A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in a country lane.

Paramedics were called to a crash between a walker and a vehicle on Thong Lane in Gravesend this afternoon.

Crews assessed and treated one person at the scene, before taking them to Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford for further medical treatment.

No further details have been released about their injuries or whether they were serious.

The incident was reported at 3.23pm today.

Police have been contacted for more information.
