Twilight Walk team donate more than £15,000 to ellenor hospice in Gravesend

Construction firm Esquire Developments has donated more than £15,000 to ellenor hospice in Gravesend.

The huge donation was made after the Longfield based firm signed up its whole team to take part in the hospice's annual Twilight Walk last Friday, September 24.

The team raised £7,787 for the charity, which was match-funded by Esquire to make the full amount to £15,574.

Esquire's director David Braddon said: “When we first signed up to the Twilight Walk we set ourselves a fundraising target of £3,000, so we are really pleased by how much more we have managed to raise. It really means a lot to us that our friends, families and suppliers have got behind us and been so generous with their donations to ellenor.”

More than 1,000 people took part in the Twilight Walk at Cyclopark, Gravesend, with walkers completing either 8km or 12 km routes.

Ellenor is the only hospice in Kent to offer services to both adults and children, providing pain and symptom relief, palliative care, end of life care, respite, bereavement support and emotional and spiritual care.
