Yesterday, Gravesend was basking in 30.3C, making it the hottest place in the UK.

Children played in the park, tucking into ice creams and soaking up the rays.

But today, the showers were back, with T-shirts and shorts swapped for umbrellas and wellies.

Today, Gravesend could only manage 18C.

The forecast is better for tomorrow (Friday) with cloud on Saturday but more sun on Sunday.
