Wet weather has forced the closure of a swimming pool.
A statement from Cascades Leisure Centre, Gravesend on Facebook said severe conditions had led to the closure of the pool and health suite at the leisure centre in Thong Lane.
The centre said it had been advised by Gravesend Borough Council and their insurers that roofing work will commence soon.
The statement added: "Unfortunately we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel all swimming lessons today, we will be in contact to arrange alternative lessons.
"We apologise again for any inconvenience and upset this situation has caused."
Melanie Norris, Director of Communities at Gravesham Borough Council, said: “Unfortunately due to leaks in the roof at Cascades, the pool and health suite had to be closed today.
“We apologise to all those who were unable to use the centre as planned and it will be fully reopened as soon as it is safe for us to do so.
“We have reached an agreement with our insurers for repairs to the roof to take place and have appointed a contractor.
“The necessary repairs will take place in the coming weeks.”
A yellow weather warning has been in place all day as the county has been battered by rain.
