A woman had cash snatched out of her hand as she walked along a road in Gravesend.
People who may have seen the robbery in Milton Road, near the junction with Wellington Street, have been asked to come forward.
It is thought the man, who was not known to the woman, forcibly took the money from her before he walked away in the direction of the town centre at around 2.50pm on February 5.
During the incident, another man approached the victim and is believed to have spoken to the suspect before he walked away.
Officers are keen to identify him, and anyone else who witnessed the incident but is yet to speak with police.
The witness is white with grey hair and aged in his forties with a stocky build. He was dressed in black clothing.

He was also wearing black trousers, with white stripes down the side.
A 26-year-old man, of no fixed address, was previously arrested on suspicion of the offence but has since been released pending further inquiries.
