A woman has suffered head injuries after apparently falling from a moving car in Gravesend.

Kent Police were called to St Francis Avenue, at the Cerne Road junction, at 11.50pm yesterday.

A force spokesman said the woman was taken to hospital with head injuries not deemed to be life-threatening.

Officers had received reports she had fallen from a moving vehicle.

Kent Police say there is no investigation into what happened.

The Kent air ambulance was also called to the scene, but was stood down when it arrived.
