THE woman driver of a van suffered suspected spinal injuries after a collision with a crane.

Thames-side fire crews were called to the incident at 10.42am on Wednesday in Lower Higham Road.

Police and ambulance were already at the scene when fire crews cut the woman out of the van so she could be taken to Darent Valley Hospital.

An air ambulance was also on standby nearby but was not needed.
