Hugo Rodallega struck twice as Charlton fell to a 3-0 defeat at Fulham on Friday night.
The result moved Fulham out of the relegation zone as Charlton missed out on a chance of moving into the play-off places and going third.
The home side took control with two goals in the first 12 minutes at Craven Cottage.
Former Charlton star Scott Parker opened the scoring on six minutes after linking up with Ross McCormack before smashing the ball home.
Rodallega made it 2-0 six minutes later when he converted the rebound after Charlton keeper Stephen Henderson could only parry a McCormack effort into the path of the striker.
Charlton pushed for an equaliser but despite having plenty of efforts at goal, they failed to really trouble Fulham keeper Marcus Bettenelli.
Rodallega then wrapped up the win in the 89th minute.
