Ebbsfleet United captain Tom Bonner looking forward to facing his old club Dartford on Bank Holiday Monday

Former Dartford defender Tom Bonner can’t wait to walk out at Princes Park wearing the red shirt of Ebbsfleet United on Bank Holiday Monday.
Bonner made 167 appearances for the Darts between 2010 and 2013 but now he’s the captain of their fiercest rivals.
He said: "I can’t wait. It’ll be a good game. I had three good years there but that’s in the past now.
"I’m an Ebbsfleet player and I can’t wait to go down there in the red shirt."
Asked if he was expecting a good reception from the Darts faithful, Bonner admitted: "I don’t know. I hope so. I had three good years there but things happen in football."
Bonner left Dartford to go full-time with Cambridge United two years ago and he helped them gain promotion back to the Football League.
But the U’s loaned him out to Dover last August before letting him join the Fleet in a permanent deal at the turn of the year.
He said: "I moved on to pursue a professional career, doing it full-time and then things didn’t work out.
"Sometimes in football things happen that are out of your control.
"In an ideal world, you stay at the same club, you earn loads of money, play well and you get on with everyone but it just seems that people think footballers are the only people that can’t look after themselves.
"I left Dartford to pursue a full-time career and no-one begrudged me that. When you come out of full-time football, you’ve got to do the same, you’ve got to look after yourself.
"Dartford have kept their squad pretty much since I was there so they’re all familiar faces.
"It’ll be good to see some old people as well."
