Ebbsfleet have signed former Dover striker Billy Bricknell.

The 24-year-old becomes the third player to follow new Fleet manager Steve Brown from Crabble to Stonebridge Road.

Brown has already signed midfielder Daryl McMahon and Bricknell's fellow striker Ben May, players he worked with during his time on the Whites coaching staff last season.

Bricknell told the Ebbsfleet website: "I’m excited to join because of the ambition shown by the new owners (KEH Sports Ltd).

"I had a few offers from other Conference South teams on the table but I chose Ebbsfleet due to the ambition they are showing to firstly get promotion straight back into the Confernce Premier and then to climb into the Football League.

"Obviously my time already spent with Steve Brown at Dover Athletic was a huge factor in joining and it’s a pleasure to be linking up with him again.”

A schoolboy at Tottenham Hotspur, Bricknell went on to play for Leyton and then Billericay, where his goals in the Ryman League Premier Division attracted the attentions of Chelmsford City.

Bricknell was in the Clarets team beaten by Ebbsfleet in the 2010-11 Conference South play-offs and he joined Dover that summer.

He helped the Whites reach the play-off final last season and scored in the final as they lost 3-2 to Salisbury City.
