Cheavon Clarke wasted no time winning on his professional debut with a second-round knockout on Sunday night.

Cruiserweight Clarke, from Gravesend, impressed at the O2 Arena in London with a stylish victory over Toni Visic (20-30-2) from Croatia.

He produced some decent combinations and worked through the gears in the first round before flooring Visic with 40 seconds remaining, his opponent doing well to survive to the bell.

But his resistance lasted less than two minutes in round two when Clarke landed a heavy combination and then a right hand floored Visic again, the Croatian unable to make the count.

Clarke, who was beaten at the last 16 stage in the Olympics last summer, turned professional with Matchroom Boxing at the start of this year.
