Ebbsfleet United re-sign winger Anthony Cook from Bromley with striker Adam Cunnington heading the other way

Anthony Cook is back at Ebbsfleet United.
The winger has rejoined the club from Bromley, having left Stonebridge Road in January.
Cook has signed a deal until the end of the season while Fleet striker Adam Cunnington has moved in the opposite direction.
Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon said: "It’s great to have Cookie back. We’ve been working on it for about a month now and for whatever reason we couldn’t get it done - but we’ve managed to get it done now.
"I’m sure the fans will be delighted to have him back.
"I’m delighted to have him back, even though he’s a pain in the neck sometimes. You know what he gives you on a Saturday afternoon.
"He’s an exciting player, he’s unpredictable and he loves being here as well. I think that was the big thing for him coming back here - he didn’t want to leave in the first place.
"I’m glad to have him back and I’m sure he’ll give us something different that we haven’t got at the minute."
Cook originally joined Ebbsfleet in the summer of 2013 following the KEH Sports takeover and the appointment of Steve Brown as manager.
He was a key figure in their run to the 2013/14 Conference South play-off final but when Brown was sacked the following November and Jamie Day took over, it spelt the end for Cook.
His contract was cancelled by mutual consent in January and he helped Bromley to the league title and promotion to the National League.
Cook made 20 league appearances for Mark Goldberg's side this term, the most recent of them in Bromley's 2-0 defeat at Macclesfield on November 21.
McMahon said: "I phoned Bromley to see if he was available. I was told he might be available at a certain price that I thought wasn’t right and we’ve been talking for a month.
"Mark needed to get a striker in and he’s done some business at his end with another player to replace Cookie so it worked out that he could be available if he got the right player from us."
That player turned out to be Cunnington, who left Cambridge United to sign for the Fleet in January and went on to score 10 goals in 19 appearances under Day.
But he hasn't started a single league game this season and was recently loaned out to Woking, where made three league appearances before picking up an injury and returning to Ebbsfleet.
McMahon said: "He hasn’t featured an awful lot for us and I think he’s been unlucky.
"At the end of last season, I saw him as a big player because he had such a good six months. But the form of Kedwell and Godden has been exceptional and it’s kept him on the sidelines.
"Adam’s a player that needs to play. He’s got that big frame and I don’t think it suits him playing 10 or 15 minutes to show us what he can actually do.
"I’ve got no doubt he’ll go to Bromley and be a good player."
McMahon has spent much of this season loaning out players who can't get in his team.
So why add Cook to a squad which is already packed with quality players?
"He brings unpredictability," McMahon said. "He’s a player that can make things happen out of nothing, he's got pace, a smile and he’s an infectious character to have around the place.
"We’ve got some terrific footballers here, which everyone’s seen, but I think Cookie gives something a little bit different. We’re going to face lots of different challenges between now and the end of the season and I think he’ll help us.
"He knows the place so he doesn’t need a settling-in period with the fans. Everyone knows him and everyone knows what to expect from him. He knows what he’s got to deliver as well."
"I’m looking forward to working with him and he’s looking forward to coming back and working with me so let’s hope it’s a good relationship."
