Coyne is Viewpoint's last minute hero

Viewpoint booked their place in the quarter-final of the Kent Junior Cup in dramatic fashion.

Group C opponents Hoo Institute took a 3-1 lead but Nathan Taylor and Steve Coyne made it 3-3 before Coyne’s last-minute winner. Lewis Taylor was Viewpoint’s other scorer.

There was also late drama for Lullingstone Castle following a 3-2 defeat to Maidstone and District side Eccles. After gifting Eccles a 2-0 lead, Ryan Orpwood and then Paul Brookstein restored parity but with extra-time looming, Eccles dashed Castle’s hopes. Both teams had a player sent off.
