Sam Deering has left Ebbsfleet to sign for Billericay Town.

The midfielder was offered a new deal at Fleet following their promotion to the National League but he will play in Bostik Premier this season after teaming up with Glenn Tamplin in Essex.

Deering scored eight goals in 55 appearances during his time at Stonebridge Road.

His last appearance for Fleet was a quite outstanding performance in the play-off final against Chelmsford.

Deering was superb in midfield after the home side went down to 10 men, helping set up both goals as Daryl McMahon's side fought back from 1-0 down to win 2-1.

The former Oxford, Barnet and Cheltenham player spent just over a season with Fleet after joining from Whitehawk in March 2016.
