Steve Brown blamed individual errors for Ebbsfleet's 3-2 defeat at Weston-super-Mare on Tuesday.

Fleet had only conceded three goals in their previous six games but that tally was doubled on a bad night in Somerset.

Brown said: "We like to be resilient and that came out of left-field, in terms of the goals we conceded.

"We are normally hard to beat but all three goals came from individual errors on our behalf, poor bits of defending."

A quickfire Charlie Sheringham double had brought Ebbsfleet level after Weston had raced into a 2-0 lead with goals from Jamie Lucas and Joe McClenan.

But as the game entered eight minutes of stoppage-time, Jacob Cane scored the winner.

Brown said: "It was a sucker-punch. The game was a bit frantic but having come back from 2-0 down to draw level at 2-2, it was a kick in the teeth."
