Gravesend & Northfleet 2 Exeter City 2
AN EXCELLENT second half comeback saw Gravesend extend their unbeaten run to six matches against Exeter at Stonebridge Road on Saturday.
The visitors took the lead slightly against the run of play after 19 minutes when Rob Edwards was left unchallenged to head in a Billy Jones corner.
And it was 2-0 five minutes before the break when Lee Phillips' whipped ball into the box somehow found its way into Lance Cronin's goal via the head of Fleet defender James Smith.
Substitute Onome Sodje gave the home side a lifeline in the 56th minute when he rose highest to head in a Mark DeBolla free-kick.
And the fightback was complete 12 minutes from time when Ross Smith rose superbly to head in a Jon Keeling corner.
Gravesend: Cronin, Ricketts, J Smith, R Smith, Hawkins, Coleman (Slatter h-t), Quinn, DeBolla, Keeling, Moore (Sodje h-t), MacDonald.
Subs not used: Mott, Ekoku, Purcell.
