Ebbsfleet United have signed striker Charlie Sheringham on a two-year contract.
The former Dartford man had been in talks with manager Tony Burman about a possible return to Princes Park this summer following his release from AFC Wimbledon.
But instead, Sheringham will play for their local rivals in Conference South next season.
Fleet vice-chairman Peter Varney said: "We are continuing to improve our first-team squad for next season and Charlie is a player we have been pursuing for some time.
"He had a number of offers from clubs in higher leagues and we are delighted that he has shown such confidence in the future of our football club by signing a two-year agreement."
Sheringham made 16 appearances for Wimbledon in 2013-14 and he ended the season on loan at Salisbury City, scoring five goals in nine games for the Conference Premier club.
The 26-year-old left Dartford to join AFC Bournemouth for around £25,000 in October 2011 but rejoined the Darts on loan in March 2013 after missing the whole of 2012 with a broken foot.
Bournemouth released Sheringham last summer and he moved on to Wimbledon, although his time with the Dons was also interrupted by injuries.
Sheringham is the 20th member of Steve Brown's squad and the fourth striker on the books at Ebbsfleet, alongside Matt Godden, Billy Bricknell and Ben May.
