Tommy Fraser has left Ebbsfleet United by mutual consent.
The former Whitehawk midfielder joined the club in the summer and made five appearances for Steve Brown's side - two as a substitute.
Ebbsfleet vice-chairman Peter Varney said: "Tommy and I met and it was a very amicable discussion and both parties agreed that circumstances had arisen which meant it was in both parties’ interest to part company.
"Tommy is about to become a father for the first time and we wish him and his partner the very best for the future. I am sure he will have no difficulty in finding a new club closer to his home in Brighton."
Meanwhile, the Fleet have successfully appealed against the one-match ban handed to goalkeeper Preston Edwards for his sending-off at Hayes & Yeading earlier this month.
Edwards, who saw red for handling the ball outside his area in that game, is now available for Saturday's FA Cup second qualifying round tie against Hythe Town.
