BRIAN KILCULLEN: Crucial decision ahead

SKIPPER Steve McKimm and experienced pro Paul McCarthy will take temporary charge of team affairs at Gravesend & Northfleet following the shock resignation of manager Andy Ford.

Club chairman Brian Kilcullen commented: "Andy was with the club for a long time and will be a very hard man to replace.

"Hence, the appointment of his successor will be a crucial decision in shaping how the club progresses from here and is not a decision we will rush into.

"In the meantime, we are more than happy to let Steve and Paul take charge of team matters. They have the necessary experience and leadership qualities."
