Ebbsfleet United put their long unbeaten run on the line at Dagenham & Redbridge

Ebbsfleet can make it 30 league games unbeaten when they visit Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday night.

Daryl McMahon's side haven't tasted defeat since the 2-1 reverse at Dartford on Boxing Day although they needed an 89th-minute goal on Saturday to rescue a draw against AFC Fylde.

It's an formidable record stretching back almost eight months but John Still's Daggers are likely to give Fleet their hardest game for a long time.

Dagenham already have seven points to their name in the National League having come from behind to draw 2-2 at Eastleigh on Saturday.

They started with 2-1 wins against Barrow (home) and Boreham Wood (away) while Ebbsfleet's derby victory over Maidstone a week ago was sandwiched by draws against Guiseley and Fylde.

Fleet boss Daryl McMahon said: "We’ve maintained not being beaten in I don’t know how long now and that’s important to us as well. If we can keep that going it would be good.

"I worked at Dagenham so I know the staff there really well. They’re a very good side, a team that will be up near the top of the table and we’ve got to perform better than we did on Saturday defensively and still have the offensive stuff we’ve got as well.

"We’ve got to bring both games to the party on Tuesday."

Anthony Cook returns after a three-match ban but Dean Rance (knee) isn't expected back before the weekend while club captain Dave Winfield and Bradley Bubb are both out long-term.
