Steve Brown insists Ebbsfleet must be wary of Tonbridge Angels on Saturday despite their Kent rivals' perilous plight near the foot of Skrill South.

Tonbridge make the short trip to Stonebridge Road having lost seven of their last nine away games. They're a point from safety and have played more games than the sides they need to catch.

But the Fleet boss knows he can't afford to underestimate the Angels or their manager, Tommy Warrilow.

Brown said: "I’ll expect Tommy to really get them up for the battle. He’s never shied away from anything, Tom, and they’ve picked up great victories this year against Eastleigh and Sutton.

"We did a really good job on them down at their place and Tom will be very keen to turn that around. They’ve just signed a Canadian striker, who I’m struggling to do my homework on.

"Tom will keep plugging away. He’s a fantastic character, I get on with him very well and he’ll bring that Tonbridge side over and he’ll say: ‘You’ve got nothing to fear, on their home patch they’re expected to do well, play with no fear and play like you want to turn over another top team.'

"You’ve got to be very wary of sides that are struggling. We came to Gosport, they needed a win and I thought the job we did was terrific. I expect another good performance.

"There’s no reason why this team shouldn’t perform like that again on Saturday but there are always 11 people on the other side of the pitch that want to stop that."

Yado Mambo (knee) and Chris Sessegnon (shoulder) are both injury doubts for the Fleet.
