Opener Nick Hendrie scored an unbeaten hundred as Hartley moved within nine points of winning the Kent League Premier Division title after beating Tunbridge Wells by eight wickets on Saturday.

Tunbridge Wells posted 226 at Culvey Close with Kent's Sam Weller taking 4-33 and Jack Laraman 3-37. Robert Sehmi top-scored with 53.

Hendrie (100 not out ) and Dan Stickels (70) shared a 125-run opening partnership before James Hockley (33 not out) finished the job with Hendrie.

The result means Hartley now need only nine points from their final two games to secure the title with only third-placed Sevenoaks Vine, who have a game in hand, having a mathematical chance of catching them.

They are currently 46 points behind Hartley after a 37-run at home against Blackheath.

John Bowden (50), Oliver Durell (51) and Michael Barber (75) helped Vine reach 257 all-out as Dipyan Paul took 5-33.

Lorne Burns then finished with a five-wicket haul, taking 5-32 as Blackheath were dismissed for 220. Joe Kerridge and Tanweer Sikander both scored 58.

Second-place Beckenham lost for the second consecutive game, by 68 runs against visiting Bexley.

Kent spinner Adam Riley finished unbeaten on 40 as Bexley were dismissed for 196 with Junaid Nadir (3-48) and Oliver Howick (3-35) sharing the bowling honours.

Beckenham were all-out for 128 in reply with Raza Ali Dar (35) and William MacVicar (29) making the major contributions as Michael Stevenson finished with 3-27.

Oliver Collins gave second-bottom Sandwich Town hope of avoiding the drop after taking 6-33 in the 82-run against the side above them, Bromley.

Former England and Kent wicketeeper Geraint Jones scored 38, as did Rory Smith, as Sandwich made 216-9 with Robert McNeill taking 3-43 for the visitors.

In reply, Bromley were all-out for 134 with Sean Griffin top-scoring with 29.

Sandwich are now only 12 points behind Bromley.

Already relegated Folkestone suffered a 92-run loss at Lordswood.

Chris Piesley made an unbeaten 104 while Matt Greenwood hit 63 as Lordswood made 284-6.

Andy Bray made 58 as Folkestone replied with 192 as David Masters took 3-22 and Greg Smith 3-25.
