THE Gravesend Messenger has become the official media partner of Gravesend & Northfleet in an exciting new agreement signed by the newspaper and football club.
The deal gives the Gravesend Messenger exclusives on all things Fleet, including breaking news plus, from next week, a regular column by manager Liam Daish.
The link, which will help the Fleet to target new fans from across Kent, is seen as a massive benefit to the club.
Gravesend Messenger editor Denise Eaton said: "We are absolutely delighted to be so closely linked with Gravesend & Northfleet Football Club.
"The club has its roots firmly in the area we serve and is a vital part of the community of Gravesham.
"We hope this deal will herald the start of a long and profitable relationship with the club as they bid for Football League status."
Gravesend & Northfleet commercial executive Greg Bettles added: "We are thrilled that the Gravesend Messenger has taken the opportunity to become the club’s official media partner.
"Both parties have worked hard in putting this sponsorship deal together and I’m sure the agreement will benefit both.
"The agreement is a massive boost to the club as we look to attract more fans from across Kent. I am positive it will have huge benefits for the club."
Under the terms of the deal, the Gravesend Messenger will be covering everything from the club’s youth and women’s teams through to the first team. There will also be regular competitions – including the chance to win match tickets – and other Fleet promotions.
Readers will benefit from extensive game coverage, including match reports and pictures, along with manager, player and fans’ reaction. There will also be informative graphics and news from around the Nationwide Conference.
* Fleet fans from across the county will be able to keep up with breaking news through the Kent Online website, while some club news will also appear in the Gravesend Messenger’s sister publications the Kent Messenger and Medway Messenger.
