Danny Kedwell returns to the scene of his first Ebbsfleet goal this weekend determined to score one which could mean promotion.

Kedwell will lead the line at Gander Green Lane as Ebbsfleet look to reclaim top spot in National League South with one match to go.

He said: "I’ve had a few big games and I thrive off them. This is what football’s about.

"If you can’t buzz off these sort of games you might as well not be in the game. I’m excited, I can’t wait.

"I’ve done all right this season. I’m just going to play my normal game, with that extra little bit of kick on the end of it. Every game I go out, I’m always buzzing but this one’s got a little bit more to it.

"Scoring my first goal there and now going back there on Saturday for a massive game, hopefully I can do the same."

Kedwell scored his 12th goal of the season last weekend as Fleet came from a goal down to beat Chelmsford 3-1 at Stonebridge Road.

He said: "The fans were brilliant and even the atmosphere on the pitch – everyone was smiling and playing with no fear.

"A month before that, we were playing with a bit of fear but now we’re going out and enjoying our football.

"We’ve got to keep playing the way we have done in the last two games and see what happens. We’ve got two games left and we’ve got to win them."
