Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon is heading back into the transfer market this week.

Five of his 25-man squad are out on loan and more deals could be agreed in the next few days.

Full-back Craig Braham-Barrett, having just returned from one loan spell at Woking, has already begun another at Ebbsfleet's promotion rivals Whitehawk.

Meanwhile, deals to take winger Robbie Willmott and defender Lloyd Harrington to Crawley and Billericay respectively fell through at the end of last week.

McMahon said: "I still expect a couple of things to happen this week with loans and stuff like that, like we’ve already done this season with people going out and getting minutes.

"Charlie Sheringham’s been out, Aiden Palmer’s been out, Matty Johnson’s out, Sean Shields has been out, Craig’s been back and he’s out again.

"There’s going to be people going out to get minutes if they’re not going to be in the 16."

McMahon has been proactive in the loan market since taking over as manager, choosing to let his players get games for other clubs rather than watch from the stands at Stonebridge Road.

"I think it is working," he said. "It’s key that people play football. I don’t think anyone likes coming into training and then sitting around, doing nothing on a Saturday.

"As much as we can, we’ll keep on using what we’ve been doing that way. It helps us and it helps other clubs as well, that they get some good players.

"The key for us is that when a player goes into our side, like Aiden did on Saturday, he’s not going in like he hasn’t played since July, He’s been playing competitively, in this league, already this season. We’ll keep doing it."

Ebbsfleet are away to Maidstone in the Kent Senior Cup on Tuesday night.
