Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon expects his team to start another winning run.

Fleet conceded for the first time in six matches and dropped points for the first time in 2017 after a disappointing second half against Hemel Hempstead on Tuesday.

Title rivals Maidenhead, meanwhile, regained top spot after coming from behind to beat Eastbourne and move two points clear.

“Those players have been great over the last two months and we go again," said McMahon.

“(In the second half) they looked a different team as well to be fair to Hemel. You can’t always lay it at our door. We play against another team and they made it difficult for us.

“They are a good side, they’ve beaten Maidenhead here and it’s a tough place to come.

“After the first half you don’t expect to win but you think we’re looking good, then the second-half performance was below standard.”

McMahon’s team travel to Bath on Saturday and the Fleet boss is expecting his team to bounce straight back.

“There will be draws, losses for everyone in and around the top six between now and the end of the season – I’ve got no doubt about that,” he added.

“It’s about how you react. We’ve been on a great run and up until the last 45 minutes we were still on a great run and playing some great stuff.

“But the lads have performed exceptionally well for a long period of time and we go again on Saturday.”
