Ebbsfleet's National League South draw with Hampton & Richmond bittersweet for striker Bradley Bubb

Bradley Bubb marked his first league start since August with a goal on Tuesday.
But the Fleet striker left Stonebridge Road disappointed after they failed to hold on against Hampton.
“We’re massively disappointed,” said Bubb. “It wasn’t a great performance but the last-minute equaliser has killed us and we’ve just got to take the point.
“They were throwing everything at us, even in the first half we had a warning when they had three shots in a row, hit the post and had one off the line. We had the warning signs, we just switched off in the last minute.”
Bubb, who has impressed from the bench against Welling and Maidenhead, took just four minutes to score against Hampton – taking advantage of a defensive error by the visitors.
“I was delighted to get the goal,” he added. “I’ve been working hard in training and just waiting for my chance really – hopefully I get more.
“The goal was a bit of luck. I heard it hit the defender and looked around, the ball was there and I’ve just tapped it in. The keeper was coming back and another defender was going to the line but I took my time and slotted it in.
“I love scoring goals – any type of goal – as long as it helps the team then I’m happy. We had a few chances but we lacked a bit of quality keeping the ball moving.
“I’m pleased but it’s about the result, not about me. We go again on Saturday (against Harrow). I’ve got to keep working hard, keep showing my ability and hopefully the gaffer puts me in.”
