Ebbsfleet United in talks over a naming rights deal for Stonebridge Road

Ebbsfleet United are working on a deal to sell the naming rights to Stonebridge Road.
Fleet's home ground is undergoing a major transformation which has already seen the Liam Daish terrace knocked down and replaced by a £5million main stand, which is due to be completed this season.
Stonebridge Road was known as the PHB Stadium during the 2014/15 season before reverting to its traditional name.
But Fleet vice-chairman Peter Varney confirmed: "We’re in talks over a stadium naming rights deal.
"We’re discussing a longer deal (than the PHB arrangement) with someone, that takes into account our plans to do the Plough End and Swanscombe End.
"We’ve got to have one eye on that and how the stadium’s branded.
"The bottom line is we’ll double our turnover this year so things are going well off the pitch.
"That’s what’s got to happen, that every time we build something here, there’s got to be an element of it that makes it sustainable."
Ebbsfleet are back in the National League this season after winning promotion through the play-offs.
Mr Varney said: "We've sold just over 600 season tickets which is double last year.
"Dave Archer (commercial director) and his team have sold everything that moves. There’s not a board available, all the major sponsorships have gone.
"Whichever way you look, individual match sponsorships are flying out.
"I’ve been around long enough to understand when a club’s on the up or going in the right direction and when you go to the training ground, it’s palpable. You can feel how pleased the players are to be here.
"There’s a spirit running right through the club which I recognise from previous times when I’ve been lucky enough to be involved with sides that have got promoted.
"It’s just got that feel around the place at the minute."
