Ebbsfleet will not be forced to sell their best players this summer.

Highly-rated goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore is just one of the Fleet stars EFL clubs would pay good money for.

But they can afford to turn bids down, just as they did in the January transfer window.

Ebbsfleet boss Daryl McMahon said: "We won't be selling any of our players.

"We don't need to - we're looking to get stronger."

Fleet now know who they'll be up against in the National League next season.

Play-off winners Braintree and Harrogate are coming up alongside champions Havant and Salford while Chesterfield and Barnet have dropped down from League 2.

But there will be no return visit to Tranmere after they beat Boreham Wood with 10 men in the play-off final.

Tranmere, who knocked Ebbsfleet out at the semi-final stage, recovered after losing Liam Ridehalgh to a red card inside the first minute at Wembley.

McMahon said: "We've got a staff group chat and when it came through that they were down to 10 men after 48 seconds, I said 'this sounds like our story, finishing second two years in a row.'

"It was almost meant to be for Tranmere to get up to be honest, a little bit like ourselves a year ago. They're a very good side."

He added: "Chesterfield and Barnet are two good sides and they'll be looking to bounce straight back.

"Salford have got the backing of the Man Utd boys so I'm sure they'll be a very tough outfit.

"They'll be looking to go for promotion straight away and it'll be a tough league. It always is."
