Aldershot v Ebbsfleet United

EBBSFLEET boss Liam Daish has warned that his side's FA Trophy task is only half-done.

Fleet are on the verge of reaching Wembley for the first time in their history after a 3-1 win over Aldershot in the semi-final, first leg at Stonebridge Road last weekend.

Chris McPhee converted two penalties and Paul McCarthy scored his first goal of the season to give Fleet a two-goal lead going into the second leg at the Recreation Ground this Saturday.

Daish said: "We haven't done anything yet. It's (Saturday's second leg) going to be a great atmosphere.

"It will be a new experience for a few players and I want them to look forward to it. Hopefully, we can finish the job off."

The 39-year-old has played at Wembley twice, finishing as a winning captain in Birmingham's 1995 Auto Windscreens Shield side and he was part of Cambridge United's successful 1990 play-off team. But Daish is keeping his personal experiences to himself.

He added: "They (the players) won't realise what it is like until they are there. I'm not even going to start talking about it until we are there."

Daish insists his side can't afford to sit back and he wants his players to attack.

He added: "I think that's the only way we can play. If we get another goal then it will make it very difficult for them. We've got to keep it tight but we can't go there and defend our 18-yard box."

Defender James Smith is likely to miss out with a hamstring injury.
