VICTORIA STONEHAM: Scooped gold

GRAVESEND'S Victoria Stoneham won her second national title in the English Schools Inter-Divisional Diving Championships in Southampton.

The 12-year-old, a pupil at St George's Church of England School in Gravesend, represented Kent and scooped gold in the Years 7 and 8.

Stoneham competed from both the one metre and three metre springboards and, with a total score of 174, had a winning margin of 26 points, comfortably beating competitors from all over the country.

Her points tally helped Kent to achieve fourth place overall. This is Stoneham's second national title, following a win at the National Age Groups, held in Leeds in June.
