Ebbsfleet United are set to be suspended from their training ground over an unpaid bill of around £30,000.

The bill at K Sports, where Fleet have trained since June, has been racking up for four months.

K Sports chief executive Alan Dennington will inform Fleet managing director Dave Archer of his decision today.

Dennington said: “There are unpaid training fees since the start of the year, substantial amounts, about £30,000.

“A token payment has been made here and there to reduce the debt but nothing substantial.

“The money just hasn’t turned up so at what point do you say ‘enough’s enough?’

“Dave has worked hard in difficult circumstances and has told me the owner has put some more money across but unless I get paid, I’m going to suspend them from the training ground.

“I like the club and have a great relationship with Dave, the management and the players but we’ve got a business to run as well.

“We’re continuing to feed the players and to make sure the pitches are all done to make sure they’ve got the best facility they could possibly have.”

The news comes a day after KentOnline revealed the players had not been paid on time again.
