Tristan Lewis was back in Kent football on Saturday - helping out Kevin Watson at Ebbsfleet.
The caretaker Fleet boss contacted Lewis on Friday to see if he was available to help out against Maidenhead.
And the former Maidstone caretaker manager, who was previously on the coaching staff at Welling, was more than happy to step in for the game.
"I’ve known Tristan for a while and have done some coaching work with him at the academy he set up," said Watson.
"I’ve known him over the years and I trust him. He is a good man, he knows his stuff and gives good information.
"I needed a set of eyes to help me, and he kindly stepped up to the plate.
"It was a good addition for me, a good guy, a good football man so he gave me a real hand."
When asked at the weekend if the move was likely to be anything more permanent, Watson replied: "Let’s hope so. I haven’t discussed it yet."
