THE 2008 Brands Hatch

season continues in spectacular style this weekend as the British Truck Championship heads to Kent.

There will be plenty of local interest in the event as the Powell brothers will be out to challenge in both classes of the championship.

Gunning for success in Class B will be West Kingsdown’s Steven Powell.

He will be racing in his brother Graham’s old Cargo machine which was driven to second in the class B championship last year.

Graham, from Aylesford, is stepping up to Class A in a new vehicle while a third brother John faces a race against the clock to get Steven’s old truck ready for the Superprix.

All the action is on Easter Monday. Tickets cost £20 on the gate with under-12s admitted free.
