Two-wheel racing replaces the four-wheel variety this weekend as the World Superbike Championship arrives at Brands Hatch.
Fresh from last weekend’s World Touring Car action, Brands will be crammed with race fans again, as the biggest event on the circuit’s calendar takes place.
Last year British fans cheered James Toseland home to an historic double win on his way to clinching the world championship crown and Brands have lined up more home talent to support this year.
Tom Sykes, fresh from a double win during the last round of the British series, has been given a wild-card entry and the Rizla Suzuki rider will be up against some of the best bikers in the world – including fellow Brit Chris Walker.
It won’t just be the British racers getting the cheers as championship leader Troy Bayliss, former MotoGP star Max Biaggi, Yamaha duo Noriyuki Haga and Troy Corser and Spaniard Carlos Checa will be scrapping it out for a podium place.
