Ebbsfleet stand to make more than £250,000 when they play at Wembley for the first time in their history next month.
That’s the figure interim chairman Brian Kilcullen is confident the Fleet will bank regardless of whether they overcome Torquay in the FA Trophy final on May 10.
The Fleet will receive 45 per cent of the final’s net gate receipts and look set to boost their profits through commercial, sponsorship and merchandise avenues.
Mr Kilcullen said: “It’s the sort of money you never budget for and is a bit like winning a mini-lottery.”
Fleet have already banked £38,000 in prize money from the Football Association and could land an additional £50,000 if they run out as eventual winners. Even if they lose to Torquay, the Fleet will still receive £25,000 as runners-up.
