Gravesend & Northfleet v Southport
MANAGER Liam Daish has called on his Gravesend & Northfleet players to show no fear as they gear up for their biggest week of the season.
Fleet’s 2-0 win over Altrincham on Easter Monday moved them up to sixth in the Nationwide Conference table and to within three points of the play-offs.
Gravesend face three home games in the space of seven days before travelling to champions Dagenham & Redbridge on the last day of the season.
Gravesend play strugglers Southport on Saturday but Daish is refusing to take the opposition lightly.
With the possibility of league football edging ever closer Daish is well aware of the need for his players to show composure.
He added: "Sometimes what you get with youth is that they are not frightened and that can work in your favour.
"It can be an advantage when you have got players who have not been in this position before."
Charlie MacDonald (groin), Mark DeBolla (hamstring) and Ross Smith (broken nose) will all be assessed, while Mark Ricketts (ankle) is available for selection.
