DAISH: "A new man changing things around is the nature of the game"

Ebbsfleet United v York

EBBSFLEET United manager Liam Daish is expecting York City to play with new-found confidence ahead of their Blue Square Premier match at Stonebridge Road on Saturday.

York parted company with manager Billy McEwan last month after a poor run of form saw the club suffer seven home league defeats.

Reserve team coach Colin Walker has picked up the reins as caretaker manager and turned their fortunes around with a win and a draw.

Daish said: "A new man changing things around is the nature of the game. I don't know much about him (Colin Walker) but I think he has taken a bit of pressure off the players.

"Billy McEwan put them under a bit of pressure and it looks like Colin is going along a different approach."

Fleet go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat against Woking and will be without skipper Paul McCarthy who is suspended after picking up five yellow cards, while Mark Ricketts (hamstring) could feature after returning to training.
