Morecambe v Gravesend & N
MANAGER Liam Daish has called on his Gravesend & Northfleet players to not let their FA Cup disappointment linger as the club gear up to return to Nationwide Conference action at Morecambe on Saturday.
Fleet suffered a 1-0 defeat against Ryman League Premier Division side Chelmsford City in the fourth qualifying round on last Saturday.
He said: "Morecambe will be a real test and the players will have to be aware that they can’t put in a performance like they did against Chelmsford. “If they do, we won’t be coming out of there with a 1-0 defeat – it could be 4-0 or 5-0.”
Fleet currently lie fourth in the table and Daish is all too aware of the importance of staying there. He added: “The lads are
honest enough and I’m sure they will be looking to get it back to where we were before. Now we are in the top four it is doubly hard. We can’t take our foot off the pedal."
Mark DeBolla (ankle) is unavailable but Paul McCarthy (achilles tendon) and Robert Quinn (knee) are both expected to be fit.
Fleet have brought forward their match at Cambridge to Saturday, November 11.?
