GRAVESEND finished their Nationwide Conference season with a home defeat against Burton Albion on Saturday.

Burton scored the only goal of the game 10 minutes before half-time when Aaron Kerr failed to prevent Kris Taylor's free-kick from all of 30 yards going in at the near post after Jay Saunders had fouled Daryl Clare.

Fleet rarely threatened and the closest they came was a James Smith header that went over in the second half.
