Dorchester 0 Ebbsfleet 2

A GOAL in each half gave Ebbsfleet victory at Dorchester in the FA Trophy second round on Saturday.

John Akinde continued his good form by putting Fleet ahead after 16 minutes. Neil Barrett played in the young striker who side-stepped keeper Simon Evans before striking the ball home.

Either side of Akinde's goal, Stacy Long came close to scoring for the visitors.

His first effort rolled under Evans's body but the ball was scrambled away before Luke Moore could convert the follow up. A shot by Long then drew a fine save from Evans.

The second goal came two minutes into the second half from Chris McPhee. Barrett released Akinde down the left and he played in McPhee who applied a simple finish.

Dorchester rarely threatened the visitors who booked their place in the third round draw with some ease.
