Ebbsfleet have pointed to losses of £40,000 a month as the reason behind a recommendation to increase admission prices by around 15 per cent for next season.
While many clubs have slashed prices, the Fleet are proposing an increase from £13 to £15 on adult ticket prices.
Club chairman John Moules stressed that the increases were purely a recommendation and added: "The proposals will be voted on by the members who will report back in seven days.
"They could consider a freeze or possibly a reduction in all pre-purchased season tickets and other lower priced products."
Confirmation of the club’s monthly losses will strike fear into the hearts of Fleet supporters with the issue likely to dominate a public meeting on Wednesday at Stonebridge Road which chief executive David Davis and Mr Moules have promised to attend.
A statement issued by the MyFootballClub Trust board states: "The club is losing £40,000 per month and with renewals being lower than hoped, it is clear that cash shortage is only a matter of weeks away.
"We need to do three things quickly. First, cut costs at the club, secondly seek ways to get members to plug the gap in finances and thirdly increase the revenue stream of the club.
"To address the last of these, we must look primarily at the gate price. One argument might be to lower prices and encourage higher attendances."
On the field, the Fleet visit Histon on Thursday before travelling to relegation-haunted Weymouth, under the new managership of ex-Wimbledon and Wales boss Bobby Gould, on Saturday.
