Ebbsfleet have signed former Maidstone goalkeeper Lucas Covolan.
The National League strugglers had to bring in a keeper for Saturday’s match against York City with two senior goalies ruled out.
First-choice Mark Cousins was ruled out due to concussion protocols following last Saturday’s goalless draw at Rochdale.
On-loan Blackburn keeper Felix Goddard suffered a broken finger in training and that left Ebbsfleet with just youngster Harrison Firth available.
Manager Josh Wright moved to sign Covolan, who was released by fellow National League side Braintree in January when his short-term deal with the Essex side expired.
The 33-year-old played 25 times for Braintree this season, including in a goalless draw against Ebbsfleet in August.
Covolan was part of the Maidstone team that reached the last 16 of the FA Cup last season.
