Sam Deering's first half winner earned Ebbsfleet their 1-0 victory over Bath City at Stonebridge Road.
Goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore also saved a second half penalty to help his side claim the Vanarama National South points - a fifth win in six games - in their first at home for more than a month.
Ashmore kept out Marvin Morgan's early second half spot-kick after Anthony Cook brought down Bath striker Andy Watkins in the box.
Deering fired Fleet in front after 26 minutes, scoring from close-range after Danny Kedwell's effort had been deflected into his path.
Darren McQueen was then denied a second by Bath keeper Max O'Leary's fine stop, pushing the ball away to his right, which even had Fleet boss Daryl McMahon applauding.
Fleet were inches away from taking the lead after only nine minutes in a lively start.
Jack Powell's free-kick picked out central defender Dave Winfield whose saw his header thunder against the underside of the bar and stayed out.
Bath looked dangerous when they went forward, Ryan Broom just failing to get on the end of Andy Watkins chip into the area.
The visitors also had two efforts blocked by Fleet defenders before half-time.
Bath were given a away back into the game five minutes after the break.
Watkins went down in the box, under Cook's challenge in the box, but Ashmore dived to his left to save Morgan's effort after the striker's stuttering run-up.
Ashmore did well to scramble away another long-range effort from George Rigg.
Deering went close to a second midway through the second half, seeing his free-kick curl just wide, only to be frustrated by the first offside in the match with 23 minutes left.
Four minutes were added on at the end - with Fleet defenders defending well against a flurry of shots in a stirring finish to a good contest.
