Two more goals from Matt Godden helped Ebbsfleet through to the FA Trophy first round proper.
Godden, who has scored 10 times in his last nine games, netted twice in the first 12 minutes as the Fleet raced into a 3-0 lead against lower-league Molesey at Stonebridge Road.
The tie looked over at half-time but a goalkeeping clanger gave the visitors hope and they enjoyed a spell on top as the National League South leaders wobbled.
However, a Michael West goal in front of the Plough End ensured there was no late drama.
In the only change from their league win against Bishop's Stortford seven days earlier, Danny Haynes replaced Matt Fish in the Fleet starting XI.
That meant Anthony Acheampong kept his place in a 3-5-2 shape, with Haynes taking Fish's place wide on the right and Jordan Parkes lining up on the opposite flank.
Molesey, who dropped to seventh in Ryman League Division 1 South when they lost 5-1 at home to Faversham in midweek, brought in James Cottee and Dre Grobler for Joe Pratley-Jones and Staforde Palmer.
The odds, already stacked against the Moles, got even longer when Fleet took the lead inside four minutes.
Haynes beat his man on the touchline and fizzed the ball into the feet of Godden, who took a touch and rifled the ball across goalkeeper Liam Allen into the bottom corner.
It was 2-0 four minutes later, with Haynes again providing the assist. He found Godden and although the striker couldn't force the ball home, it ran for Kedwell who turned inside before lashing it into the net.
It was one-way traffic and Ebbsfleet scored again on 12 minutes. Kedwell found Godden and he dribbled round Allen before rolling the ball home.
Godden's pace terrified the Molesey defenders, who simply couldn't cope with his movement when the Fleet went forward. And there was almost a second goal for Kedwell when Allen needed two attempts to grab his powerful long-range strike.
The visitors almost pulled a goal back when Grobler headed against the bar following a Reis Stanislaus free-kick. Ebbsfleet counter-attacked straight away and Godden's lob beat Allen but dropped inches wide of the far post.
Godden, on another day, might have scored five goals by half-time.
Kedwell's clever dummy sent him running through on goal but Allen dived at his feet and made a brave block.
That was bettered by Allen's next save, diving low and clawing out Godden's header from a right-wing Parkes corner.
Haynes, having switched wings, made a marauding run down the left before driving inside and powering a shot towards goal which Allen did well to stop.
That was Haynes' last involvement in the game - he came out for the start of the second half but limped back down the tunnel before a ball had been kicked. His place was taken by Alex Osborn, just back from a loan spell at Maidstone and having scored two goals against the Stones in Tuesday night's 6-2 Kent Senior Cup success.
Osborn was straight into the action, running down the left and linking with Stuart Lewis, whose low cross almost fell for Godden inside the six-yard box.
Fleet keeper Brandon Hall grabbed a looping header from Cottee while at the other end, Parkes lashed a shot over before crossing for Dean Rance, whose effort was straight at Allen.
Godden unselfishly headed Kissock's high ball down for Parkes, who shot wide from the edge of the box.
But the visitors were gifted a goal on the hour when Hall completely fluffed his attempted clearance and Stanislaus pounced to sweep the ball in.
Moments later, Hall dropped a cross from the Molesey right and Rob Sheridan was there to score but the goal was ruled out as the officials had spotted an infringement.
Suddenly passes were going astray and the Fleet looked laboured in their play, with manager Daryl McMahon raging in the technical area at his side's lethargy.
Tom Bonner was almost punished for a slip when Cottee shot over and the home supporters became increasingly agitated as the men in sky blue sensed a way back into the tie.
But after Osborn had stung Allen's palms with a low strike from the right, fellow substitute West scored his first goal of the season with a low shot across Allen from the left-hand side of the penalty area.
That killed off Molesey and the Fleet should have added a fifth goal in the closing stages.
West fired wide from Charlie Sheringham's pass, Parkes sent a lob just past the post and Osborn missed the target after Kedwell had nodded a deep right-wing cross into his path.
