The continent’s best golfers are descending on Kent ready for the European Open at the London Club.

Padraig Harrington, Colin Montgomerie and Justin Rose will be among those competing at the event which starts tomorrow.

Englishman Rose is looking forward to playing on home turf. He said: “I am really looking forward to the week- it’s nice to be home in England.

“I played the course yesterday and it is in wonderful condition and I think the course is very much wind dependent which is exciting.”
